LPS® LV / Power Surge Protective Devices

LPS® LV / Power SPD

LPS has more than 20 different models in our SF, PM and RM Series to protect any electronic and electrical equipment from lightning surges on power system. These devices offer surge capacity ranging from 25,000 to 320,000 amps per phase with common and differential protection modes.

They can be used to protect instrumentation equipment, distribution boards, sub-switchboard, main switchboard, remote utilities and critical installation that require continuous protection.

LPS with its proprietary MOVMI (MOV Matching Instrument) can correctly match the MOVs to offer higher surge capacity and durable SPD at very affordable prices.

LPS® ELV / Signal Surge Protective Devices

ELV/Signal SPD

LPS® has developed 10 different series of Data Line Surge Protective Devices (SPD) with more than 40 different models to cater for every need.

LPS® Data Line SPD are designed to protect electronic equipment I/O ports and power supply ports from power surge or lightning induced surges onto the signal cable, ground potential difference between equipment and electromagnetic coupling.

LPS® Data Line SPD offers 3 to 7 stages of hybrid protection. When electrical surge occurs, these devices will switch to a fully conductive state and divert high current to ground. Then it will reset automatically to a non-conductive state when the voltage falls below the threshold voltage.

Structural / Open Areas LPS

LPS® Structural / open areas

The EI is the advanced Electrically-Isolated Lightning Protection System (LPS) that protects structures and open areas without side-flashing, electrification of structures, touch and transferred potential.

The EI 200 Lightning Air Terminal is the latest advanced electrically-isolated air terminal. It is imbued with an exceptional design that delivers unsurpassed functionality, consistency and long-term reliability. EI 200 Lightning Terminal intercepts lightning discharges and is estimated to withstand high impulse currents of up to 200,000A.

From the EI 200 Lightning Terminal, the lightning current is then discharged to ground safely via a uniquely designed EI 5038 lightning cable without electrification of structure, side-flashing (lightning current flashing to nearby conductive objects), touch potential and transferred potential.

The EI 610 Lightning Strike Counter will keep track of the number of lightning discharges intercepted by the lightning protection system. With an Independent or Isolated Lightning Earth, potential danger posed by the lightning energy from being converted into surges will be greatly minimised.
