E.F. Basic Components
An isolated lightning protection system comprises of a Lightning Terminal, an electrically sealed Lightning Carrier as down conductor, a Lightning Counter and a separated lightning earth. This concept is to virtually move the lightning discharge away from the protected structure while providing protection.

The worldwide patented E.F. Lightning Terminal is the top part of the E.F. Carrier System of Lightning Protection. The E.F. Lightning Terminal manufactured with Non-radioactive and Non-Corrosive Materials which is resistant to high voltage. It is completely powered by strong atmospheric electric field present during a lightning storm.
 
Description:
The worldwide patented E.F. Lightning Carrier is the central portion of the self-enclosed E.F. Carrier System of Lightning Protection which enables it to have a separate earth. The E.F. Lightning Carrier is a cable composed of two identical conductors that one is coaxially placed about the other and are separated by a layer of insulator. The dual channels of electrical conductors of the E.F. Lightning Carrier forms high capacitance between the two conducting layers. Together with special termination method, the peak voltage caused by the flowing of lightning current will be suppressed. Transient Absorption Technology (TAT) has also been incorporated into E.F. Lightning Carrier to further suppress the destructive lightning surge effect by temporarily storing bulk lightning discharge energy as it travels.
 
Description:
The E.F. Lightning Counter keeps track of the number of lightning discharge that the E.F. Carrier System of Lightning Protection intercepts. The E.F. Lightning Counter is small, light weight, waterproof and can operate normally in extreme climatic conditions. It does not need a battery source to operate nor does it need to be regularly maintained. The E.F. Lightning Carrier fits through the internal aperture of the E.F. Lightning Counter.

With E.F. Lightning Carrier which is highly electrical insulated, an independent/separated earth of a least 5 to 10 meters away with earth resistance of less than 10 ohms will minimize the lightning energy from being converted into surge.
